A Kettle of Fish
Adapted and Directed by Paul Sills and Jeffrey Herbst
Lyrics by Fred Alley
Music by James Kaplan
An evening of charm and enchantment for all ages as heartwarming and comic folktales come to life.
In the spring of 2000, AFT Artistic Director Jeffrey Herbst contacted esteemed guest director Paul Sills (part of Chicago’s legendary Second City company, famous for pioneering the story theater method) and asked him if he’d be interested in doing an evening of some of the best stories we could come up with. The only rule was that they should be great stories never before presented on the AFT stage. With such a broad net, we knew it wouldn’t be hard to land more than a few good tales. These are some of our favorites.
