Clay Zambo

Composer & Lyricist

Clay is proud, delighted, and grateful to return to Door County for this sailing of Windjammers. His collaborators include a guy he met in an elevator (and with whom wrote a show that went into rehearsal 36 hours later, among others); his college roommate; and Robin Share, with whom he wrote the entire first draft of Windjammers before they met in person. His musicals, which have been produced in New York, London, and elsewhere, include the romance anthology Vows, the murder tale Greenbrier Ghost, the Passover comedy Shlemiel Crooks, and the Greek myth/Annette Funicello-movie-mashup Beach Party 5000 BC. Clay lives in the suburbs near NYC and divides his time between writing, teaching, and producing TV game shows. He is a member of BMI and the Dramatists Guild, an alumnus of Ohio University’s Honors Tutorial College, a pretty good cook, and a runner.
